SUFJAN STEVENS BRYCE DESSNER NICO MUHLY JAMES MCALISTER - PLANETARIUM

Planetarium is a collaborative album featuring Bryce Dessner of the indie rock band The National, drummer James McAlister, contemporary classical music composer and arranger Nico Muhly and singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens. Planetarium unites Stevens’ vocals, McAlister’s beats, Dessner’s guitar performance, and Muhly’s instrumental compositions. The album is part rock odyssey, part electronic experiment, part classical opus, which conceptually revolves around the cosmic ideas Stevens’ lyrics explore: mythology, astrology, science, astronomy and the intricacies of human consciousness.

The album was released by 4AD records and is available in vinyl format.
