Banners of a Sunken Empire – Gibonni’s New Poetry Collection!
Dallas d.o.o. is proud to announce the second edition of the book “Banderas de un imperio hundido” (“Banners of a Sunken Empire”), which in this release – at Gibonni’s own request – bears the original title “Bandire potonulog carstva”, taken from a line in his beautiful song Udica.
The first edition of the book was published in Puerto Rico by Isla Negra and was intended for the Spanish-speaking world – from South America to the Hispanic community in the United States.

A great admirer of authors like Gabriel García Márquez and Jorge Luis Borges, Gibonni placed great importance on having his lyrics translated into Spanish. This trilingual book, featuring poems in Croatian, Spanish, and English, is a true literary gem – powerful, emotional, and rich in meaning.

Gibonni is both a poet and a musician. His lyrics are filled with deep emotion, and his wordplay stays with the reader. Reading his verses without music opens a new dimension – intimate, fresh, yet still powerful and familiar. Even longtime fans of his music will discover something deeper and unique in these poems.

The book contains 31 poems personally selected by Gibonni. The poems appear in three languages – Croatian, Spanish, and English – and include many of his most beloved hits, such as Mirakul, Brod u boci, Žeđam, Judi, zviri i beštimje, Libar, Lažu fotografije, Drvo, and many more.
